Gallery session and optional role-play
Become a delegate at a UN conference and vote on what to include in a charter on children’s rights. Students will be introduced to the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child after examining Topolski’s gigantic ‘UN Wheel’ as the culmination of a tour of the Century charting the development of the United Nations as an international organisation promoting human rights.
In the optional workshop, students enact a series of cases at a Human Rights Court, taking the examples of children from the various historical situations depicted in Topolski’s visual record of the twentieth century.
