Topolski Studio worked with young people aged 16-19 from Haringey Sixth Form College to produce a Chronicle of their illustrated creative writing.
As part of their Enrichment Programme, a collective of students founded ‘Haringey Unchained’, aiming to show case the creative talent of Haringey Sixth Form Centre in Tottenham, London. Through the promotion of their creative thoughts, they aim to educate their community, bringing to the foreground the critical and creative consciousness of a vibrant school in a deprived part of London. They are endeavouring to provide a platform for their community, giving the space to those whose work otherwise might not be seen or read.
Throughout 2014-15, the Studio held workshops with the young people to help them develop their artistic skills and create designs for their illustrations. As part of this programme, a group of students visited Topolski Studio for a workshop run by the Studio’s Fellows. Topolski Studio then worked with the students to edit and print a Chronicle of their work on our printing press.
The Chronicle was launched at a special event at Haringey Sixth Form College in May 2015.
